1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SkinAware, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use SkinAware. By using the app, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age.

3. Description of Service

SkinAware helps users track and manage dermatillomania (compulsive skin picking) via episode logging, goal tracking, progress insights, achievements, and accountability partnerships with other users.

4. Subscription Terms

  • Billing: Charged via your Apple App Store or Google Play account
  • Auto‑renewal: Renews automatically unless cancelled
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime via your App Store/Google Play account settings
  • Refunds: Governed by the applicable App Store/Google Play policies
  • Free Trial: If offered, it auto‑converts to a paid plan unless cancelled before the trial ends

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use the app for personal, non‑commercial purposes
  • Provide accurate information when logging episodes
  • Not share your account credentials
  • Not reverse engineer, tamper with, or hack the app or services
  • Meet the age requirement in Section 2

6. Medical Disclaimer

SkinAware is a wellness tracking tool and is NOT a medical device or substitute for professional care. SkinAware does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical concerns.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the app is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using SkinAware, you consent to the data practices described there.

8. Intellectual Property

SkinAware and all content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The app is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for any health outcomes or medical decisions

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden.
